Our History
Born from a shared love for Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and cultural tradition, Blades of the Dominion was envisioned as more than a tournament — it’s a revival of the communal spirit that once surrounded martial practice.
Founded by instructors, reenactors, and festival organizers, the event draws on years of experience in both historical combat and public celebration. From small training halls to international gatherings, our founders saw an opportunity to unite the serious study of the sword with the joy of a living, breathing faire.
